An Epic Saga

Hi. I’m Ashley. I’m a part-time ginger who likes to make things.

I’m a 19-year-old soon-to-be third year New Media Design major and Theatre Arts minor at a tech school in the tundra. It’s a pretty first-rate place.

I have a propensity for wearing ridiculously patterned tights and don’t care whether or not my clothing matches. I collect Shakespeare, compilations of mythology and fairy tales, and odd stuffed animals. I own two beautiful betta fish that I love like children: a silver-blue and red male named Seamus, and a yellow and purple female named MadailĂ©in (Maddy for short). I am an introvert, an extrovert, and a tree-hugger of the most literal variety. I enjoy the occasional bout of existentialism. I believe that I was born about five centuries too late.

I love to dance, I love to act, I love to art (…I love to verb nouns) and I’m IN love with a man who likes to see if we can blow raspberries in the same key. We met in a Shakespeare class and started dating while playing Hero and Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing. Yeah, yeah, I know.

While I dabble around in all sorts of art genres and mediums, my body of work mainly consists of photography and web design with a sprinkling of digital illustration, animation, and print work. I am occasionally available for freelance work and general commissions, so if you’re interested, feel free to give me a shout and we’ll see what we can work out! I’m quite approachable, I promise.

I’ve provided some links to the right so you can get a better idea of the things I love. Who knows, you might find a new love yourself!

About the Domain & Credits

Tenth Muse was purchased in December 2008, but because I’m an indecisive booger it didn’t exist as a website until May 2009, and was then taken down again a few months later for cleanup and redesign. Said cleanup and redesign took far longer than intended, but Tenth Muse was back in June 2010 once again and is now here to stay, as I’ve resolved that any updates will be made live.

This website is powered by WordPress and hosted at Holdfire. I currently use a set of icons designed by Paul Robert Lloyd for the footer. The typeface used on the headers (which I am unabashedly in love with and wish came in more weights) is Gauntlet Classic, and I edited a lovely texture by Lost and Taken to use in the header. Everything else was illustrated by yours truly in Illustrator.
