1. Lindsay & Cole Perform “Gravity” on So You Think You Can Dance

Last night, So You Think You Can Dance did a tribute to Mia Michaels, one of the (if not the) very best of their choreographers. She’s one of my idols. Gravity is one of my favorite pieces of choreography of all time, so I was stoked to see Lindsay and Cole perform it last night. The talent of these dancers is incredible. To put this in perspective, Lindsay is a latin ballroom dancer and Cole is a martial artist who incorporates dance in his work.

I think, even if you’re not a dance enthusiast, you’ll still appreciate this gorgeous routine and its powerful story - here, Lindsay is a drug addict and Cole plays the part of the drug. Once you’ve seen this, you can compare it to the the original performance. I especially loved seeing Cole’s different interpretation of the role that Kupono played, and I thought both were equally successful though quite different.

(and if you have more time for watching dance routines, you should also watch Lindsay and Cole’s beautiful paso doble!)

Holy wow. I loved the first version of this, but this is equally amazing.

Stunning. One of my favorite Mia Michaels routines. Love Cole here, in particular. Absolutely haunting.
